Throughout this project, we will be understanding the production process of an audio visual-media product. This will involve us creating an promotional, documentary, reality video to create awareness for the show Urban Expression and for the two presenters, Jose Spinola and Phil Robinson, who will be a big part of the production process.
In this unit, myself, Will Hewitt and Jake Dungworth will be creating a short documentary/promo into the radio show Urban Expression at Sheffield Live!. The show is a music talk show based around Hip Hop music that primarily revolves around the underground and 'old school' scene of rap music.
The main host of the show, Jose, contacted me and Will to do this after filming on set of Sheffield Live for a previous film trailer we created for Unit 46. He wanted us to create a short video that helps educate audiences who may not know about the history of Hip Hop as a culture about how the genre of music has changed since its beginnings. The documentary will also help promote the show and help express what they are aiming to do with the show.
